Award-winning educator and scientist
Professor Joyce Harper is an internationally renowned, award-winning educator, author, podcaster, academic, public speaker and scientist.
She is Professor of Reproductive Science at University College London in the EGA Institute for Women’s Health, where she leads the Reproductive Science and Society Group. With 40 years of experience in fertility, genetics and reproductive science, she has published almost 300 scientific papers. Her expertise spans women’s health, fertility, menopause, reproductive health education and lifestyle.
Joyce is co-founder of many initiatives including the UK Menopause Education and Support Programme, InTune, the UK Fertility Education Initiative, the International Reproductive Health Education Collaboration and the research network SWIMHER, dedicated to exploring women’s health and cold-water swimming – with pioneering research on how it affects menstrual and menopause symptoms.
Her books include Your Fertile Years (2021) and Your Joyful Years (2026), drawing on interviews with 50 women over 50. Her podcast, Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me This?, is in the top 10% of podcasts globally. She often appears in the press.
